Brainlapse is an upgrade of the project Braindance, carried out last year, where we used an EEG instrument and its measurements to illustrate brain responses to prerecorded music in an isolated blackbox space. You can see the outcome on the Behance project site.
We live in a world where we are constantly surrounded by information. Brainlapse strives to expose the problem of the sensory overload of an individual in a modern world.
Brainlapse is placed in a real environment. We will use an EEG device to measure a person’s brain activity throughout NYC boroughs. Captured EEG parameters are synthesised through our custom algorithm, which forms a unique audio-visual elements for each individual. Your brain becomes our painter and composer.
On-location sounds and video images are captured simultaneously with EEG and are complementing the synthesized audio-visuals in the form of a multimedia presentation.
If you would like to be a part of the Brainlapse project, please fill out the form below and we will get back to you within 24 hours.
If you have any additional questions regarding the project, you can send an e-mail to email@example.com

How long does a single data capturing take?
A single capturing takes approximately 2 minutes.
Is it painfull?
No. The subject will be wearing a light weight EEG device on his head.
Will you be able to see my thoughts?
No. Our EEG device only reads brain activity and sends raw data into the computer.
I’m not from NYC, but would like to participate!
Since we are doing the measurements in New York, it is crucial, that you are there too. If you want to participate, you will have to join us in NYC by the end of June 2016.
What’s in it for me?
After our project is finished, you’ll get your own stylized brain activity t-shirt, that will be sent to you by mail.
You will also be able to see and hear the audio-visual presentation of your brain activity on our website.
